How to keep a useful store recall review record

Record enough detail to understand the decision

Begin with the store and product, then the original notice link or identifier and the date you reviewed it. Note the package, model, lot or date details that mattered. Record the review outcome and the action actually taken, including a shelf check.

Download a CSV or use the audit print view for the available entries. Check the selected store and any filters before exporting. Long histories may be marked as partial when more entries remain; preserve that qualification when sharing the record.

An audit export is a record of activity, not a government certification, guarantee of legal compliance or promise that an insurer will accept it. Use the original notice and your actual store evidence to explain a response.

Revisit the record when information changes

If the notice changes or a later delivery raises a new question, return to the original source and review the relevant stock. Keep the new decision distinguishable from the earlier one. A dated review describes what was checked at that time, not every future delivery.
