Use the notice that applies to the product
USDA FSIS publishes notices for the meat, poultry and egg products it regulates. FDA food enforcement adds other packaged foods a deli may sell. A public health alert and a recall are different kinds of notice; read the original source for the specific situation.
Preserve meaningful producer and product names in Square or your CSV. Generic entries such as 'deli meat' provide less information to compare, and a prepared item name may not reveal the recalled ingredient used in it. RecallDash does not provide ingredient or batch-level traceability.
Compare the label and what was received
For a potential match, check the product form, producer, package size and any establishment, lot or production-date information named in the notice. Use the physical packaging and your own receiving records where needed; the catalog alone may not carry those details.
Check the relevant stock at each store. A similar name is a lead for review, and a missing catalog match is not proof that all ingredients or packages are outside a notice.
Record the review at the store
Review the evidence and source notice in the dashboard, confirm or dismiss the match, and record the shelf check. You decide and carry out the response under the original notice's instructions; RecallDash does not remove inventory or contact an agency.
Use the audit view to revisit recorded decisions, download a CSV or print the available history. Keep any supporting package or receiving evidence in your own records. An export documents actions; it is not a certification.
